Sue Watches Buffy #53; S6: Entropy and Seeing Red

photoWhat’s worse then having to discuss these controversial episodes and moments in a podcast when you’re a Spuffy shipper/Mama Bear? Having to do it twice. This is take two, as our first recording (and it’s backup) crapped out. How do you make it better? Add your sister in law newbie B! Bronwyn is back, joining us for the first time since Once More With Feeling.
In this episode we get a Cat’s Crypt in, read and discuss your feedback, and then try and talk about these episodes (again) with a fresh and critical eye. We hope you enjoy.

Sue Watches Angel #52 (Loyalty, Sleep Tight, Forgiving)

3x16ST1603In these episodes of Angel, the series takes a “slightly” dark turn and leaves us asking- where do we go from here?  Well- let me quantify that: it leaves SUE asking these questions!

First though we have a Cat’s crypt, read some feedback, and discuss the episodes in depth, and we do all that with help from our special guest John Pavlich from Sofa Dogs, Castlecast and Idjitcast.  With John’s help we delve deep into many of the questions that make us say to our brains, “Shhhhhh!…..sleep tight….”.

So basically- we ponder and laugh– you know, the usual.

Here is the link to John’s Go Fund Me page if you wish to drop a few bucks to help support him and his family, cause 2015 sucks!  We all need help to get us through it! #yearofthestrangledcat

Hmm… we really should have made this the Toni Flores Memorial Podcast… cue “Woman”.

Sue Watches Buffy #51: Hell’s Bells and Normal Again

tumblr_mae8x6xf7j1r4dsjko1_500This week Em and Sue watched Hell’s Bells and Normal Again.  Two pretty controversial episodes you might say.  Along with our opinions on these eps, we read your opinions and feedbacks and even get some words for our old friend Bob DeGrande from beyond the grave (RIP Bob).  No Cat’s Crypt this week, but look for one next time…

Sue Watches Angel (and Buffy!) #50 (Waiting in the Wings, Couplet and As You Were)

Angel Waiting in the WingsHere we are on the cusp of the exciting part for both seasons! You know what– rather then trying to think of stuff to say, let me just thank everyone for being patient in me getting this episode out! I had just no time but I assure you, this week’s podcast will be out around the normal time.

Enjoy!

Sue Watches Buffy #49 Part II (Doublemeat Palace, Dead Things, and Older and Far Away)

013d14566f2b66a4ab91ce64319cfbc3ee341f8f44As promised- part II. In this half we discuss the episodes and their rankings, and Sue makes some predictions…and expresses some sadness at some turns certain characters have taken. Heck- we all do that. (By “all” I mean Beth (Elizabeth Smith- our guest this week and I).

Sue Watches Buffy #49 Part I (Doublemeat Palace, Dead Things, and Older and Far Away)

Buffy_The_Vampire_Slayer_[Dead_Things]_(2002)_3I just had to split this one up. Part one includes: a double Cat’s Crypt (With Catherine joining us for half of it), All your feedback and the inevitable discussions it invokes, and a Sue story. All with special guest Elizabeth Smith AKA Beth, who was gracious to join us on the eve of the eve of a work trip taking her out of the country. We had a good discussion, so glad she took the time out of her busy schedule to help us with this difficult stretch of episodes.

No worries- I won’t make you wait a week for part II. I expect to have it out tomorrow night.

Sue Watches Angel #48 (Dad, Birthday, and Provider)

latestThis week Em and Sue discuss a few episodes of Angel. We may have conflicting Likes and Dislikes, but we both agree that Angel and Cordy are pretty darn cute. We also agree that Cordy’s character is becoming quite elevated and *whispering* I don’t mean the demon wings she is about to sprout.

We have a special live interview style Cat’s Crypt this week and we manage to draw out a surprising fact from our sister…

WWBW at the end!

Yes Mother: Bates Motel Season 3 Wrap up

normaThe long awaited wrap up of season 3 is here! We were joined by a special guest this time, making her first ever podcast debut… our sister Cat! Yes, there are more of us, and I think it will be pretty clear to everyone early on that we are sisters.

Anyway… in this podcast we highlight our favorite parts of the season by talking about our individual favorite episodes, count down our favorite scenes, favorite quotes, and do a 5 most favorite / 5 least favorite parts of the season. We also discuss what we think might happen in season 4, discuss how our points of view may have changed watching all episodes after having seen the whole season (Emily had some epiphanies), discuss Normero a bit, and we may have a giggle now and then.

Oh yes– and we have contest winners! Tune in, and make a trip back to White Pine Bay, get a room at our B and B, we think you will find your trip enjoyable, peepholes and all.

Sue Watches Buffy #47 S6: Smashed, Wrecked, and Gone

IMG_4090In these episodes of Buffy, the inevitable finally happens…Willow drinks too much magic and wrecks a car.

Some other stuff happens too like Buffy becomes blinvisible, Dawn drinks a giant shake, Spike loses his best favorite Zippo, Boba Fett nearly loses his head, and Buffy gets a haircut. Oh yeah– and Buffy and Spike Johnny Depp some old house.

Join us as Em and Sue discuss! We have an extra large What We’ve Been Watching even though Em and Sue really didn’t watch much… but you guys did! It was so long I tacked it on the end so as not to annoy the listeners who don’t give a bip about the Buffyless shows. So find that after the music.

New Cat’s Crypt too!

This week we were joined by special (B & B) guest and listener Matt Asendorf and he helped us laugh our way through discussing this pivotal run of episodes of Angel.

We start with the Cat’s Crypt you were supposed to hear last week (don’t worry about what happened- just go “shhh”), we read some feedback, and then go into our discussion. Was the vampire baby nearly as scary as Sue worried it would be? Did the show FINALLY make Darla likable to her only to take her away? Maybe. Also- you’re welcome fall tv watchers for our wonderful idea on the newest sitcom- just send the royalties onto us. Oh wait- we are 30 years too late. Dang. By the way- the last um, half hour or so is tangents so…. just know that. Peace.
